My name is Tim Martin and I am a local authority governor and parent to children in two different year groups in the school. My area of responsibility as a school governor is health and safety and I also sit on the finance board. My job as an officer in the London Fire Brigade has given me the skill set needed to perform this role and contribute to the health, safety and well-being of staff and children.

I wanted to become a school governor because I wanted to contribute in some small way to not only my own children's education but other children's and join the brilliant team at Cookham Rise School.
