From 2013, children are defined as having reached a ‘Good Level of Development’ at the end of the Early Years Foundation Stage if they achieve at least the expected level in:

- The early learning goals in the prime areas of learning (personal, social and emotional development: physical development; and communication and language)

and;

- The early learning goals in the specific areas of mathematics and literacy.

Multiplication check in Year 4 - 2024

Nationally, 29% of children scored full marks and there was a mean score of 20.2.

At Cookham Rise, 53% of children achieved full marks (25) with 93% scoring 23, 24 or 25. A mean score of 23.5 was achieved.

Multiplication check in Year 4 - 2025

52% of pupils who took the test scored full marks (25/25) with 79% scoring 23-25. A mean score of 23.5 was achieved by the children who took the check and 22 with all pupils included.
