  • Governors

    The school’s governing body is generally responsible for the conduct and strategic direction of the school with a view to promoting high standards of education. They have to ensure that all statutory obligations for pupils and staff are met.

    Vision: Governors aspire to Cookham Rise Primary School being a school that enables all it’s pupils to Shine and is a valued part of the local community.

    Aims: Governors aim to provide every child with a variety of opportunities to ensure that they:

    • Develop to their full potential;
    • Acquire the skills they need to become good citizens in our future society;
    • Are safe and happy during their time at Cookham Rise;
    • Foster a lifelong curiosity and love of learning

    How our Governing Body operate

    We have Full Governing Body Meetings (FGM) every half-term and separate Finance meetings throughout the year. When needed, working parties are set up to explore areas in more depth which then feed back into the full GB.
