End of year eco trip 2014/2015

On Friday 15th May 2015 we played host to All Saints C of E Junior School . All Saints were gathering ideas for their own garden and asking our advice about furthering their quest to become an even better ECO school. Of course we had to include our mascot, George Imani, in our photocall.

This year (2015) we were lucky enough to receive free trees from Braywick Nursery. This was part of a RBWM initiative.

Our pot label colouring session at lunchtime on Friday 1st March 2013 achieved a total of £113.01 aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care. ! Thank you to everyone who participated.

The children have also made bird feeders and spent time outside counting the birds that appear in our garden/playground as part of the RSPB Birdwatch.

Please keep donating your used printer cartridges to our recycling scheme in conjunction with Money to Schools.com A collection box is located in the KS2 lobby area. Alternatively seek out Mrs. Armstrong at the end of the school day! Freepost envelopes are available from the front reception area if you wish to send any used inkjet cartidges directly to the scheme. Please ask any friends or relatives to support us. It is a great way to reduce landfill and earn money for our school at the same time. Please see their website by using the link above to see an example of which cartridges would be of most value to us.

We hope to keep this project going by fundraising activities in school, donations from FOR/grandparents and from outside companies when the opportunity arises.

We have achieved the Woodlands Trust Gold Award, ECO Schools Green Flag and Level 5 in the RHS Campaign For School Gardening.
