It is hard to believe that another school year is nearly over.

A number of events have happened and there are some still to come so I look forward to seeing most of you before the end of term.

We remembered Mrs Barrett on Friday and I have put some photographs on page 7 for you to see. We were all very proud of the children, who showed a great deal of respect and empathy. Mrs Barrett’s family left saying how pleased they felt that she was part of this lovely school community.

On behalf of the staff team, I would like to bid a fond farewell to Mrs Burkitt and wish her every happiness at her new school and also wish Mrs Conroy a very happy maternity leave.

A week on Tuesday we will say goodbye properly to Year 6 but for now I would just like to wish them all a happy and successful transition to their new schools. They go with our love and best wishes, hopefully taking with them some happy memories!

Thank you so much to everyone who was involved in making yesterday's circus and fair such a success. It was amazing seeing the circus tent up on the field and I would have quite liked to have kept it!

It takes a great deal of time and energy to make events like this such a success so I am very grateful to everyone who organised, planned and came along on the day to support.

Preliminary figures are showing that we may have made over £6000—a truly amazing amount of money.

We are incredibly lucky to have such a lovely school community and yesterday really showcased that.
