I hope that you have all had a lovely half term break and welcome back. We finished the term on a high with our questionnaire responses from families and I am really delighted to share those results with you on pages 6 and 7. Thank you for taking the time to do this as we really value what you have to say and the positive feedback gives a strong impetus to all the staff to keep doing what they are doing! To know that almost 100% of families agree or strongly agree with all of the statements is a real testament to how hard everybody at the school works — staff, children and parents! The production of ‘The Hobbit’ did indeed spark some fantastic drama and written work. Mrs Rogers and I really enjoyed visiting all of the classes last Tuesday to see what the children were doing and talk to them about their learning.

We have resumed our work with other schools and had a collaborative staff meeting across eight schools last week with the opportunity for teachers to talk to colleagues in other schools and learn from the huge variety of activities going on.

A big ‘well done’ from me to everyone who took part in the Boundary Walk yesterday. It is lovely to see staff and families joining together to support Mrs Peters with all that she is doing for New Brainstorm School.
