Experienced and kind teachers and all school workers. Happy and relaxed environment. Thoughtful and planned study material.
1/Leadership is embedded throughout the staffing team 2/The altruistic approach from all staff
nurturing, encouraging; staff is always available and helpful; curriculum is well enriched with trip opportunities and workshops
The clarity of communication is a real strength and knowing what is happening at the school, when and why, helps to settle any concerns from having a young child just starting at school. The children are clearly very happy and settled at the school which no doubt comes from the security they feel there.
Wonderful environment and great leadership. Supportive school for children with some very caring teachers.
High levels of communication and collaboration. Good values and morals with an effective school leadership. Very warm and welcoming school.
They really get to know your child. They are incredibly positive which my child responds to well.
Nurturing, inclusive and realistic about homework for KS1.
Open minded to change, constantly looking to improve. Responsive. Not influenced by others but by the needs of the children. We’re so lucky to have this school on our doorstep.
The emphasis on reading and encouraging the children to master reading is phenomenal.
Making my child look forward to school and being able to tell me what has done. Esp the science experiments she has done.
Community feel and caring, progressive on many areas (e.g. homework - less and with focus on reading and maths, reviewing uniform - ties/bowties should go, active involvement of parents for fundraising, variety of school trips etc)
A well run school that focuses on the children's well being and happiness.
A supportive atmosphere in which all children are encouraged to flourish to the best of their ability.
I think it’s an amazing school. Beyond our wildest expectations
I have been impressed every year with how the teachers have really got to know our daughter and identify her strengths and challenges and focussed on how to help her grow and develop.
The kids all singing together in assembly is a great addition
Just a big thank you for putting so much care, love, enthusiasm and passion into our little people’s learning experiences! You’re doing an amazing job.
Clear communication, children are able to have a go at multiple activities.
Open & collaborative approach focused on holistic wellbeing of the children.
Strong leadership Empathetic & understanding teaching staff Mature handling of Ofsted Dedicated PTA
The beautiful outdoor grounds and amount of outside space; the stability of teaching staff (no high turnover); options for extra curricular activities; diverse background of children and families; fun educational outings are organised for the children; frequent communication from school so I feel informed about events/opportunities at school and in the community
You teach pupils to shine in whatever they are good at, and teach them to be their best selves. You show them that there are many ways to shine - it doesn't always have to be in the traditional academic subjects. Teamwork and influencing your peers is key to any business/job these days, and you foster these skills in the children, and that is priceless. You consciously prepare them for a life that isn't necessarily about being good at exams and a particular subject, and I think that is crucial in a primary school, and the best start in life for young minds. Confidence and happiness is essential in our children, and I think Cookham Rise fosters this in whatever way they can.
