Week commencing 15th June
Friday 19th June
Well done for all your hard work this week! Please try and get out for some fresh air today if the weather is good enough.
Today, please could you:
- Complete Day 14 in your Early Morning Workbook
- Complete the weekly maths challenge activity on Seesaw
- Finish and edit your story “The Sea Sandwich Adventure” and upload it to Seesaw.
- At https://spellingframe.co.uk complete 10 minutes of the free activities for Spelling Rule 50
- Complete the BBC Bitesize Science lesson on Lifecycles in Humans and Animals https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/zjppf4j. Rather than completing the worksheet for activity 3, choose an animal (other than butterflies) and create a poster or collage on Seesaw to describe its lifecycle. Once you have finished, write a paragraph explaining the similarities and differences between the animal you selected and a human being.
- Take a break and watch Bitesize Daily at https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episodes/p089g0cc/bitesize-911-year-olds
If you finish these tasks, please go back through your activities and check you have finished everything, including this week’s art, topic and computing lessons. Once you’ve finished, you could also spend some time on Memrise, Times Table Rock Stars and ActiveLearn.
I hope you have a lovely weekend

Good morning Beech 5.
I absolutely loved the sandwich illustrations you sent me yesterday and am really looking forward to reading your stories over the weekend! If you have time, please do add pictures to your work – I hope to share some on the class blog.
Before you begin work today, please make sure you have read and responded to any feedback you’ve been given. If you need to edit your work, go to the three dots underneath the item and select “Edit activity.”
Today, please could you:

- Today you are writing your story “The Sea Sandwich Adventures”. This is your English lesson for today and tomorrow. If you can, write this on Word Online, save it as a pdf and then upload it to Seesaw. Otherwise, please email your story to me or write it as a note on Seesaw. If possible, please edit your story with an adult before sending it to me.
- At https://spellingframe.co.uk complete 10 minutes of the free activities for Spelling Rule 49
- Take a break and watch Bitesize Daily at https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episodes/p089g0cc/bitesize-911-year-olds
I’ve not set any extra activities today, as I’d really like you to spend time on your stories and experiment further with Sway online. If you haven’t completed yesterday’s computing activity, please try to finish that and if you have, why not try putting your story into an illustrated Sway presentation?
As ever, I hope you have a lovely day.
