Week commencing 8th June
Friday 12th June
Good morning, Year 5!
Today, please could you:
• Complete Day 9 in your Early Morning Workbook
• Complete the maths lesson on time and football at https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/zbdwg7h. Work through all four activities and upload your match report to Seesaw
• At https://spellingframe.co.uk complete 10 minutes of the free activities for Spelling Rule 45
• Take a break and watch Bitesize Daily at https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episodes/p089g0cc/bitesize-911-year-olds
Today, for English and science, I’d like you to write your biography of Jane Goodall and upload it to Seesaw. Look back at the lesson from last Friday to help with your research. An annotated biography of Mary Seacole is attached as an example and to remind you what features you should include in your work.
When you have completed that, please check you have finished:
• The topic work on tides and waves
• The work about “Black Lives Matter”
• Yesterday’s computing activity, logging onto Excel and creating graphs
• The art work on the Ickabog (go onto the next chapter if you’re enjoying this)
• All this week's English and maths activities.
If all of this is completed, why not spend some time on Memrise, play Mindfulness Bingo and make your parents an extra cup of tea?
Have a lovely weekend!

Over the last two weeks, there have been protests around the world following the death of an American black man called George Floyd. Work through the lesson on Seesaw about the “Black Lives Matter” movement. There is a lot to read, watch and do in this lesson. Please don’t rush through it; I’d rather you split it over two or three days this week and really thought about the issues involved!
Have a lovely day!
