Home learning term 6
Monday 1st June.
Good evening. I hope you have all had a lovely break and I am very much looking forward to seeing many of you over the coming week. Things around school and in the classroom will look a little different and we will talk more about the changes when we meet. However, I want to reassure you that everything has been done to try and keep us all as safe as possible under the circumstances.
Please bring into school a water bottle, any medication you need and your copy of Kensuke’s Kingdom (if you have one). You may also bring in your own pencil case if you wish. If you have any other school reading books which you have finished, please also bring these in. You do not need to wear school uniform but should have, or be wearing, trainers. You should wear clean clothes to school everyday please.
For children who are not in school, English and maths work will be set on Seesaw for you to complete as it was last term. As I will be teaching for most of the day, I will not be able to respond as readily to work posted as I have previously. If you have a problem accessing Seesaw, please contact the office in the first instance.
For all children, non core work will be posted on Seesaw for you to complete either in the morning, or the afternoon, depending on which session you are in school, or for you to do at a time of your choosing if you are at home. Children of key workers will be supervised by Mrs Peters in the afternoons to complete this work in their pod.
Please don’t forget to try and complete an hour of vigorous activity each day as well as reading a good quality fiction or non-fiction book.
I will be in class teaching on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Mrs Bond will be in class teaching on a Thursday and Friday. As a general rule, non core work will be focused on science, topic and life skills on ‘my’ days, with computing on a Thursday and art on a Friday.
