"We want all our children to SHINE"

Willow 6

Welcome to Willow 6

It will be a busy summer term in Willow 6!  As well as fascinating work about the Second World War in our topic "We'll Meet Again", we will be preparing our Leavers' Production "Oh, What a Knight!" and spending five days on our residential trip to PGL.  In June and July, we will also be preparing children for their transition to secondary school.

Our topic web for the term is below:

Following SATs, Year 6 children will not be set weekly homework.  However, they should try to read at least two books from the summer reading list, which can be downloaded from the link here or at the bottom of this page.

Mrs Bond is the Year 6 class teacher, supported by Mrs Allcock and Mrs Peters.  PE will be taught by Mr Baker, our PE coach and children should have kit for both indoor and outdoor PE in school every day.

Homework is set on Seesaw each week and you can link to our Teams page here, where there are links to lots of homework resources.

Throughout the year, children should read for at least 20 minutes every day.  Some suggested books for Year 6 children can be found below.  Children are responsible for recording their reading and homework tasks in their planner, which should be brought to school every day.

As a class, we will aim to read the following books throughout the year:
