Beech 5
Welcome to Beech 5!
Brain break
Details of the work from previous days can be found on the home learning page.
Monday 20th July and Tuesday 21st July
Dear Beech 5 and your parents
It was lovely to see so many of you back in school last week and thank you for all the kind word, cards and presents. They really are appreciated!
By the end of next week, some suggested summer activities will be on the Willow 6 website. Please try to read "The Good Thieves" by Katherine Rundell, as well as your own choice of fiction and non-fiction books.
Over the next two days, please:
- Complete the next two days of work in your Early Morning Workbook
- Choose an English comprehension and two pages of maths from your CPG books each day.
If you'd like to keep your brain active during the summer holidays, feel free to finish all the activities in these books!
Then choose an extra lesson each day from Bitesize. Why not try a science lesson about cricket (https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/ztm9vwx) or a dance lesson based on Alice in Wonderland (https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/z49vtrd)?
Look out for the Year 6 performance being shared and for your fantastic video about next year being posted onto the school website! On Tuesday afternoon, why not take part in some traditional "end of year" activities, such as watching a movie, getting involved in some crafts or maybe meeting up (in a socially-distanced way) with a friend?
This has definitely been a school year we will never forget! Thank you (to both children and your parents) for all your hard work and resilience. I know it's been hard to keep going at times, but it has been amazing to see your work and read your messages. I have been inspired by your creativity and am proud of each and every one of you. I can't wait to teach to you all again in September and see what amazing things we can achieve together next year!
Have a lovely summer.
love
Mrs Bond
