Watch the How to Wash Your Hands PowerPoint (found below) then complete the following writing task.

 

How to Wash your Hands

Write instructions on how to wash your hands properly.

  • Set it out using the headings: You will need and What you need to do.
  • Remember to use bullet points or numbers to order your instructions.
  • Does every instruction start with a capital letter and end with a full stop?
  • Use bossy verbs to tell the reader what to do.
  • Can you add in adverbs of time – first, then, nest, after that etc.
  • Can you add in adverbs of manner – carefully, gently, slowly…
  • Have you used your best handwriting?
  • Have you underlined headings with a ruler?
