The school’s governing body is generally responsible for the conduct and strategic direction of the school with a view to promoting high standards of education. They have to ensure that all statutory obligations for pupils and staff are met.
Vision: Governors aspire to Cookham Rise Primary School being an outstanding school that enables all it’s pupils to Shine and is a valued part of the local community.
Aims: Governors aim to provide every child with a variety of opportunities to ensure that they:
- Develop to their full potential;
- Acquire the skills they need to become good citizens in our future society;
- Are safe and happy during their time at Cookham Rise;
- Foster a lifelong curiosity and love of learning
How our Governing Body operate:
Rather than have separate committees the Governing Body (GB) attend all meetings so that they have a good overview of all areas of the school. When needed, working parties are set up to explore areas in more depth which then feed back into the full GB.
