Children are asked to complete the following homework:

 

Reading

Children should read for 20 minutes every night and, at least three times a week, they should read aloud to an adult and discuss what they are reading.  They should ask an adult to sign their Reading Record every time they have read aloud.

 

Spelling

Each Monday, children will bring home a set of spellings.  They should learn these spellings and use them, in grammatically correct and well-punctuated sentences, to demonstrate that they understand the meaning of each word.

 

Maths

There will be regular MyMaths exercises set online.  Children should check and complete these at least once a fortnight.

 

Book Reviews

Children should complete at least one page of their Book Review booklet once a fortnight.

 

Occasionally, we may ask children to take part in topic-linked, creative activities.
