Welcome to Oak 3 !
Friday 27th March
I hope you are all well. It’s been lovely to speak to some of you on the phone – I’ll try and speak to everyone else today. It is great to know that so many of you are enjoying Joe Wicks in the morning and your maths work! I am very proud of you all!
Today, please can you make sure:
- Spelling - Unit 10 - Dictation - page 43. I tend to dictate all four sentences to the whole class.
- Maths CGP book - Complete page 10 and 11. If you would like more try the Maths problem of the day, which can be found in additional resources.
- 15 minutes times table practise.
- Reading and writing - Purple Mash - chapter 5 followed by a quiz and two writing tasks.
- French - Listen to the story Toutes les couleurs, which can be found in additional resources.
- Don't forget to measure your tomato plant.

Good morning Oak 3! Hope you are all ready for the day and the work that has been set.
Try starting the day by joining in with a Joe Wicks work out.
Today, please can you make sure:
- Spelling - Unit 10 - Words to log and learn - page 43
- Maths CGP book - Complete page 9. There is also an activity set on active learn if you are able to access the set today. If you would like more try the Maths problem of the day, which can be found in additional resources.
- 15 minutes times table practise.
- SPAG activity - See additional resources.
- Writing task - Listen to part 2 chapter 17 of Fly Away Home. This can be found in additional resources ( still trying to upload) or on Seesaw. Write a diary entry as if you were Amy after taking off from the airbase. Try to include; what has happened? What are you writing about? Describe its sights and sounds. How are you feeling? What have you been thinking about? Do you have any particular worries or highlights? Is there anything you are looking forward to or perhaps you are dreading something? This should be very contrasting compared with Tuesday's entry.

- Maths CGP book - Complete page 8. If you would like more try the Maths problem of the day, which can be found in additional resources.
- Comprehension CGP - Building Stonehenge, Great White Sharks or How to Grow a Seed.

Mind-Up - Mindful seeing. Using any of our sense in a mindful way, helps us to keep our focus in our PFC and helps to keep our amygdala calm. Practicing mindful seeing helps us to get better at using our RAS to focus on one thing. This helps us strengthen our neural pathways to being mindful, focused and able to pay closer attention to things around us. Practice your mindful seeing with the a spot the difference, there are five differences in each picture. See additional resources.

Good morning Oak 3! Hope you are all ready for the day and the work that has been set.
Try starting the day by joining in with a Joe Wicks work out.
Today, please can you make sure:
- Spelling - Unit 10 - Complete the spelling zone on page 41 of your spelling book, then turn over to complete dots and dashes. Ask the pupils of Oak 3 to show you how this is done. Make sure you look up the meaning of any unfamiliar words
- Maths CGP book - Complete pages 6 & 7. There is also an activity set on Active Learn, if you are able to access the site today.
- 10 minutes times table practise.
- Writing task - Listen to our next chapter of Fly Away Home. This can be found in additional resources or on Seesaw. Write a diary entry as if you were Amy when landing at the air base. Try to include; what has happened? What are you writing about? Describe its sights and sounds. How are you feeling? What have you been thinking about? Do you have any particular worries or highlights? Is there anything you are looking forward to or perhaps you are dreading something?
- Science / Maths - Copy and draw out the tomato plant chart table. See additional resources.

Good morning Year 3!
Daily activities will be added here. Additional suggestions for projects and creative activities can be found in the grid below. I'd love to see any work via Seesaw. It would be lovely to show some of these with the rest of the class, but I will ask your permission before sharing your work!
Seesaw can be accessed via a computer, laptop, tablet or phone.
Today, please can you make sure:
- You have planned a daily timetable for school days. When are you going to complete your work and when are you going to do some exercise?
- Unit 10 - Speed Spell . Test your child on 6 spellings from unit 9.
- Maths CGP book - Complete pages 2 - 5 ( Year 2 objectives test).
- 10 minutes times table practise.
- Comprehension CGP - Harriet's Hare, The Mildenhall Treasure or Thank You Letter
- Science - Set up an investigation to find out what your tomato plants needs to grow well. See additional resources.
