I am very proud of our children who have taken part in a range of different activities recently. Year 2 have made some beautiful lanterns ready for the lantern parade in Maidenhead on 9th December. Many of our Year 6 children performed their lovely Winter poems at the Holiday Inn and all children from years 2—6 have spent time at Three in Maidenhead. Three have written to Mrs Bond to say how much they have enjoyed working with the children and will be coming into school to do some further work.

Mrs Peters led our school assembly last Friday and spoke to the children about the impact

their fundraising is having on building New Brainstorm School. New Brainstorm School is very lucky to have someone so dedicated and committed working with them and we, in turn, are very lucky to have Mrs Peters working with us and sharing the journey towards a brand new school with us.
Our thanks to the whole school community for all that you do to support. See page 8 of the newsletter for photos.

A mufti day has been arranged for Friday 24 November and in exchange for the children wearing their own clothes, we are kindly asking for a donation of either a new toy or a bottle (no smellies please). Please bring your donations in on the morning of Fri 24 November, there will be two collection points, one in the playground and one at kiss and drop.

My thanks to Jill and everyone who supported the Halloween events last week—the children had a lovely time! We have held all of our interim Pupil Progress Meetings and talked about what is working well for teachers with their new cohorts of pupils and anything that we can improve upon. It has been lovely to see how well the staff already know the children and the many strategies that are in place to make learning as meaningful as possible. Our next meetings will be at the end of term when we will look at data. Changes to this system have been discussed at Parent Forum and will be explained again at the beginning of the Hester Bancroft talk next week. Read more.......
