  It has been a lovely term with a huge range of activities going on and many successes across the curriculum. My first thank you is to the children who make this job so worthwhile and my next to all of you for the support you give to the school. My final thanks are to the staff and Governors. They really do go above and beyond and that is what makes Cookham Rise such a special place to be.

  We started last week with a visit from Sir Teachalot and it was fantastic to see history being brought to life for the children. The many children who take part in Rocksteady then treated their families to some fantastic performances on Wednesday afternoon—well done to everyone involved. On Thursday everyone thoroughly enjoyed the Reception nativity—it made for a truly heart warming start to our Christmas celebrations. Well done to the children and all the staff involved.

  It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas … The Christmas tree is going up on Wednesday and we are really looking forward to Elm classes nativity this week, the KS1 show the week after and our KS2 end of term Christmas concert.
