  It has been really lovely to see almost all of our Year 2 and 5 children back to day—a huge welcome back!
  All year groups have now had the opportunity to be back in school and I really appreciate everyone’s support in making that happen as it means we will have seen more than 185 of our children before the summer holidays.

  It has been really lovely to see so many of our Year 3 and 4 children back in school today. On average, we have about 25/30 children returning from each year group.
  The risk assessment on the website has been updated and is there for your reference but if you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact the school. We are set for a hot week so please do make sure that your child has sun cream on before they come to school and that they bring a sun hat and water bottle with them.

  I am acutely aware that the beginning of September is a long way away and that we do not yet know what schooling will look like at that point.
  Whilst schools have not been officially asked to take back children in Years 2—5 we have been asked to look at whether we have the capacity to have any more children in school. I really want to adhere to the principles we decided upon initially, the first of which is that we are fair and I feel that the fairest thing to do is to offer all children some time in school before the summer holidays.

  It has been a real pleasure to welcome back more children into school today.  We are really sorry that it is not all year groups and  look forward to when we can everyone back in.
